Cartridge Rescue Important Changes
Cartridge Rescue has been Rescuing, Reusing & Recycling used cartridges for the last 15 years. During this time we have saved over 3 million used cartridges from ending up in landfill.
Returning empty cartridges through our program saves new cartridges from having to be made. This in turn prevents more non-biodegradable plastics being made and saves the energy required to turn these plastics into new cartridges. It reduces landfill and Co2 emissions.
As the cost of transport and recycling cartridges that can not be re-used has increased, we have had to gradually reduce the amount we can pay for used cartridges that are returned. We believe the small amounts going to individual companies could collectively create a big difference to a worthy charity.
We anticipate that with our customers continued support Cartridge Rescue will be able to donate $40,000 per year to The Royal Flying Doctors Service Australia in addition to continuing to facilitate the great environmental benefits of reusing cartridges.
We are able to provide you with a quarterly report detailing your individual contribution and the total number of used cartridges collected from your business. Please register your details for this service by visiting www.cartridgerescue.com.au
From July 1, 2009 Cartridge Rescueâ„¢ will no longer pay individual companies a rebate for the return of used cartridges and will instead donate funds to The Royal Flying Doctors Service Australia. If you wish to receive a final payment direct to your company please book your pick up before June 1, 2009.
We will still continue to offer the same FREE, friendly service you are used to.
